With more than 48 years as a Licensed Limited Surety Agent, Dan Amato is one of the most respected and experienced professionals in the Florida bail industry. A former agency owner and Managing General Agent for over four decades, Dan has also served as President of a major surety company, bringing extensive leadership and operational expertise to the field.

Dan is a multi-term President of the Florida Surety Agents Association and currently serves as Treasurer of the Florida Surety Agents Political Action Committee. He is the former Chairman of the State of Florida Bail Bond Regulatory Board and is recognized statewide for his contributions to professional standards, regulatory guidance, and industry advancement.

A qualified instructor for Florida bail agent continuing-education courses, Dan has dedicated more than 45 years to legislative work — including bill drafting, committee testimony, and lobbying. His efforts were instrumental in establishing Florida’s $100 minimum retail premium rate.

In recognition of his lifetime of service, Dan is a proud member of the Professional Bail Agents of the United States (PBUS) Hall of Fame.
