Brian Tunnell
Title: Director - Central District
Pasco County
Chair: Law Enf. Liaison / Awards
Bryan began his career in the bail industry in Tampa in 1988, working for a family-owned bail agency located directly across from the Hillsborough County Jail. Under their guidance, he gained valuable hands-on experience and went on to obtain his Bail Agent License in 1990.
After several years working for other agencies, Bryan founded his own bail agency in Tampa in 1994. In its early years, his agency served both Hillsborough and Pasco Counties. By 1996, recognizing Pasco County’s significant growth and emerging needs, he transitioned his operations to focus primarily on that region.
From 1996 through 2006, Bryan expanded his presence in Pasco County, acquiring three additional bail agencies from retiring owners and continuing to grow his organization’s reputation for professionalism and responsiveness.
In addition to his contributions to the bail profession, Bryan has been deeply involved in the Pasco County community. Since 2002, he has actively supported youth programs, local charities, and numerous civic organizations, and has served on multiple community boards.
Bryan was elected to the Florida Bail Agents Association (FBAA) Board of Directors in 2002 and has been re-elected every two years since. He has served on the FBAA Legislative Committee since 2005 and played a key leadership role in defeating multiple anti-bail legislative efforts in Tallahassee during the 2019, 2020, and 2021 sessions—efforts that sought to eliminate the bail profession in Florida.
In 2015, Bryan was elected President of the Florida Bail Agents Association and served in that role through 2018, guiding the organization through critical years of legislative and industry challenges.
Today, Bryan is in his 37th year in the Florida bail profession. He continues to serve on the FBAA Board of Directors, remains an active member of the Legislative Committee, and serves as Chairman of the Law Enforcement Liaison Committee—all while operating his Pasco County bail offices with the same commitment to service that has defined his career.
